Chobani Greek Yogurt... more than just yummy!

I'm sure most of you have seen or heard of Chobani Greek Yogurt. They come in a six ounce white container (much larger than other yogurt brands) and have the flavor printed on the front. Today for breakfast I had "Black Cherry" and it was delicious! Not only is Chobani Greek Yogurt yummy, most of their flavors are also non-fat too. The "Black Cherry" flavor that I had for breakfast this morning was non-fat.

All of Chobani Greek Yogurts are gluten free and use all natural ingredients. I was so happy when I found out about Chobani about a year ago because I was tried of looking through other yogurts on the grocery shelves to see if their flavors were gluten free or not. In addition to being gluten free, Chobani Greek Yogurt is free of growth hormones. This means they don't use milk from cows treated with rBST. Studies have shown that growth hormones are not safe for human consumption and can increase the risk of cancer (specifically breast and prostate). Of course the FDA has not regulated it... yet. Europe, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Japan have already banned rBST, but we're behind!

I'm glad that there is a yogurt out there that I can count on for being gluten free, all natural, and delicious!

  1. So this might sound kind of weird, but yogurt is on my list of foods that I WISH I could really love! I don't know if it's the texture or something but it is very rare that I'm happy I ate it afterwards. I love frozen yogurt (which of course really isn't the same thing) so I keep trying to eat the regular kind. I have been able to get past my mental block and eat parfaits but I can't wait for the day I find a normal style to enjoy. I've been looking at Chobani for a while in the grocery store but I've been too afraid to try it. I'm glad you posted this because I think it has finally given me the push I needed to test it out for myself. The flavors look really delicious and I love knowing that it is natural and safer for me to eat than the food you mentioned with growth hormones. I'm glad you can enjoy this gluten free yogurt and hopefully I will enjoy it too!

  2. Your blog literally never fails to make my mouth water! I'm such a yogurt person! I've never heard of this particular brand, but I look forward to trying it. I like the fact that it is non-fat because sometimes yogurt can hold lots of un-needed fat grams. I think I would really enjoy the strawberry flavored one. Do they sell this at like regular stores or only certain ones? I don't think I've ever seen this type before!
